Discover a Sanctuary of Tranquility and Well-Being in the Heart of the Desert

More than just a place to stay, Dar Tawarta is a true haven of hospitality where every visitor is a privileged guest. We invite you to fully enjoy this sanctuary of peace, where every moment is an invitation to contemplation and rejuvenation.

‘Tawarta’ means ‘communal land’ in Amazigh, and it’s with this spirit of sharing that we envisioned this one-hectare estate, a peaceful refuge surrounded by the grandeur of the desert and the wild beauty of Dakhla. Here, everything is designed to offer you an experience in harmony with nature. The trees, such as the rare giant pepper trees, along with the birds, form a caring ecosystem. Our experimental garden, with banana and guava trees, offers carefully grown, 100% organic fruits and vegetables.

At Dar Tawarta, we live in deep respect for the surrounding nature. The water we use, over 8,000 years old, comes from the depths of the Sahara and is rich in therapeutic minerals. It is shared respectfully among guests, animals, and plants. The eco-lodge also serves as a sanctuary for wildlife and flora, with a focus on sustainability, waste sorting, and beach cleaning efforts. Dar Tawarta is part of the “We are Dakhla” association, dedicated to preserving the Dakhla peninsula.

We regularly organize themed evenings, particularly centered around iconic figures like Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, where discussions and sharing enrich your understanding of the man and his profound connection to the desert. These special moments are designed to spark curiosity and deepen your appreciation for the local culture.

We hope to have the privilege of welcoming you because, while you may arrive as a guest, you will certainly leave as a friend.
